Certified Professional Dog Trainer Cissy Sumner and veterinarian Carlos Basabe are on hand to give housetraining information and general advice. Don't miss this opportunity to get your puppy off to a great start. This event is open to puppies up to 4 months of age.

Pet Dog Manners and Behavior

...is an introduction to dog training and where training begins. This basic canine skills class specializes in current, state of the art training methods. By using motivational and positive reinforcement training we teach you how to train your dog to be a fabulous companion. This class teaches every day useful cues such as sit, down, come, stay and walking politely on lead. This class is an hour a week for 4 weeks and is $75.00. Classes are limited to 6 dog and handler teams.

Does Your Dog Have C.L.A.S.S.?

A new training evaluation for pet dog owners developed by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, C.L.A.S.S. is similar to the Canine Good Citizen test, but with more true life skills. Your dog can earn a B.A., an M.A. or a PhD!

C.L.A.S.S. is about teaching and appreciating real-life, practical skills, such as walking nicely on a leash, settling down, meeting strangers, table manners, attention, and coming when called, just to name a few. C.L.A.S.S. provides dog/student teams the opportunity to have their skills evaluated by a professional dog trainer.

Passing a C.L.A.S.S. Evaluation is a testimony to the life skills that a student and their dog have developed together. Moreover, by using those skills in everyday situations, a dog can become a well-behaved member of your household and a welcome part of society.

This class is conducted with a rolling enrollment. It is $100.00 for six weeks, but they do not have to be consecutive weeks. Evaluations will be scheduled as needed.

K9 Noseworks

...is the fastest growing dog sport in the US. Based on search and detection training, K9 noseworks creates an outlet for your dogs energy using their natural scenting ability.

This class is suitable for dogs and humans of all ages and abilities and is a great way for anxious dog to be introduced to a training environment. This is a four week class for $60.00. Class sizes are limited.

Agility

...is available twice a week as an ongoing class. New dogs may start almost any time. Agility training teaches your dog to negotiate an obstacle course consisting of jumps, tunnels and wooden "contact" obstacles. This class increases your dog's confidence, offers the possibility of competition and is great fun! This is a four week class for $60.00. Approval by Cissy Sumner is required.

Other specialty classes are available to meet the interest and needs of Best Behavior clients and students. Cissy is also available for seminars and workshops at your location. Please contact Best Behavior Dog Training for a current schedule of classes.
