Volunteer Highlight: University Of Maryland Service Dog In Training Raisers

“The SDWR puppy raiser program is a great way to give back in a way that is going to be very impactful in somebody’s life. It’s s much fun and such an easy enjoyable thing to do.”- Abby, Student at University of Maryland and SDWR Volunteer Service Dog In Training Raiser

The SDWR Service Dog In Training raising program places 6-18-month-old puppies into the home of a volunteer to learn basic obedience and socialization before continuing on to do service dog work. This allows us to place well behaved and well adjusted working dogs into the homes of people with disabilities. Learn more about this program by visiting
